Deadline: May 24, 2024 Ambitious Global Business Intelligence Consultant

your role

As the Global Business Intelligence Consultant, you have the overall responsibilities for development and maintenance of the in-house elements of Pharmacosmos’ Business Intelligence and data platform in our US affiliate. At Pharmacosmos our aim is to take advantage of modern data platforms and build on the existing success within reporting and data usage.

In the initial phase of the job, your role will primarily involve gaining a detailed overview of and analyzing the current extensive US data setup, the data landscape and data flows and technologies employed. Today, the setup is developed and maintained by an external vendor. Based on careful analysis of feasibility, pros and cons, you will identify those parts of the BI and data platform that can be meaningfully transitioned in-house. Once the intended in-house scope has been defined and agreed, the transition project is planned and executed – with external expert support for building data solutions in Azure. You will work closely with your US colleagues and the vendor during all aspects of this development. This will be a challenging project requiring a full employment of your data understanding and project management skills.

Later on, your role may evolve into a more hands-on and developmental role building data solutions (backend and frontend) for US, head quarter and other affiliates, but it will also depend on your preferences for personal growth. In this position, you will be the main driver of BI excellence in Pharmacosmos US, and you significantly impact the data vision and strategy of “how we use data” in Pharmacosmos.

The role requires a good business acumen on top of extensive experience with Business Intelligence, and a profound understanding of both the frontend and backend aspects. You should be prepared to be persistent in analytical work, but also able to think strategically and provide recommendations for "best practice" based on your technical understanding and architectural skills.

You will be part of the Strategic Projects and Systems group and will report directly to the Director of this group.
